Francesca HawleyI earned a Master of Arts in Library and Information Science from the University of Iowa in 2003 and have worked as a Public Services Librarian since July 2005.

I joined the Romance Writers of America in October 2006. I belong to the following online RWA chapters: Passionate Ink, Hearts through History, Futuristic, Fantasy and Paranormal, and the BeauMonde. My local chapter is Iowa Romance Novelists.

I've written romances since I was in my teens, when I spent my lunch hours with my pen, paper, and characters. My love of romances started with Regencies written by Georgette Heyer and Elizabeth Mansfield. I encountered contemporary tales via Harlequin Presents. As the romance genre expanded, my reading and writing styles changed too.

When I first began to write, my favorites inspired me. Later I chose to weave new tales into the genre I loved. I continue to embroider and knit new narratives for the amusement of myself, my friends, and my readers.
